Genesis 6-9
Genesis 6–9 really speaks to me as I think about our family and where we are right now, especially with our boys being 10 and 12. In today’s world, it feels like everything is constantly changing, and sometimes it’s hard to know what to trust. But Noah’s story reminds me that, just like him, we’re called to trust God and follow His guidance, even when it doesn’t make sense or when others around us don’t get it. Raising our boys in this world — with all its noise and distractions — is challenging, but it’s also a chance to grow together as a family. For us, that means supporting each other, keeping our faith strong, and showing our boys what it looks like to stand firm in their values. I want them to understand that no matter how crazy the world gets, they can trust in God’s plan for them and know that they’re not alone. Like Noah built an ark to protect his family, we’re building our own “ark” in a way — not with wood, but with love, prayer, and teaching them how to navigate life with faith. It’s our way of protecting their hearts and showing them that, no matter what happens around them, there’s always hope in God’s promises.
