Missions

First Methodist Waco spreads the name of Jesus across Waco and the world through our extensive mission outreach. The people of First Methodist believe and demonstrate the Great Commission through strong, long-standing relationships in Waco and Costa Rica, Haiti, and Rwanda. We are currently developing relationships with ministries in Columbia and Israel.

On any given week during the school year, several hundred First Methodist Waco volunteers serve as reading buddies and mentors to Waco ISD children and our members serve Meals on Wheels to local homebound residents across the city and county. First Methodist Waco lives out a strong Kairo's prison ministry and Epiphany (youth offenders) Ministry in Waco and surrounding areas.

First Methodist deploys multiple mission teams each year in the United States and around the world. First Methodist Waco funded the building of a new church and school in Rwanda, and our church maintains a strong relationship with the people of Rwanda. The church has sent medical mission teams to Costa Rica that provides desperately needed health care to mothers and children over the past several years. A team deployed to Sager Brown Depot in Baldwin, Louisiana, and spent a week preparing supplies for those in need when natural disasters strike in the United States. Around the globe, around the country or just around the block, First Methodist Waco is committed to taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world both in word and deed.

Whether you are seasoned in the mission field or a first-timer, we would love for you to join us in our efforts to spread the word of Jesus in Waco and across the world. For more information, please contact Pastor Brandon Frenzel.
