Youth (7th Grade through 12th Grade)

First Methodist Waco's Youth Ministry recognizes the importance of these pivotal years for our students. Middle school and high school years come with triumphs and challenges, and we want to be there for students and families at every turn. We pour Jesus into our students, provide a wholesome, safe environment, and provide strong, Christ-like mentors. Every staff and volunteer who works with you has been through our rigorous MinistrySafe process to safeguard your child's welfare. Don't try to parent a teenager alone. Youth belong here.

SHINE (January In-House Youth Retreat)

Every January, we set aside a weekend for our in-house youth retreat. We have incredible bands, speakers, and leaders that pour into our students making for a memorable weekend. We can't do this weekend without the help of those who open their home to teenagers over the weekend. If you feel led to open your home, fill out this form! (link)

Sunday Small Groups: As we begin gathering in person again, we find it extremely important to continue to offer an online option for continued discipleship and knowing not every family is comfortable with in-person gatherings. We will study the word and break out into small groups as we discuss the text further.

  • Time: 7-8:30 PM

Wednesday (Bridge Outside): This is the wildest, craziest, and best night of the entire week! We start back on June 3rd from 6:30-8:30! Bring your lawn chair, bible, journal, a water bottle, and your friends!

"We talk about Jesus. We talk about our faith. We dive into the Word. We worship joyfully. We connect with other students and amazing leaders. We share our doubts and fears. We share our joys and praises. We serve in town and around the world. We have fun-lots of fun! Through loving God and loving others, together we share His joy and hope with everyone we know."
