GriefShare

Grief takes more than TIME to heal. GriefShare is a grief recovery support group that meets for 13 weeks twice a year. It utilizes a video seminar, group discussion and a personal workbook to help participants as they make their journey through grief. The only charge for this class is for the workbook, but scholarships are available upon request. GriefShare also offers other 2 hour classes: Loss of a Spouse and Surviving the Holidays.

Are you finding comfort in food or other things after the loss of your loved one? Do you stress eat or notice that you’re bingeing on the wrong things?

People seek comfort in different ways—eating, shopping, searching the Web, exercising, praying, sex, alcohol, drugs, reading the Bible. Some of these choices are good, and some can cause even more hurt.

At a GriefShare group, you can find comfort and support in a healthy, nonjudgmental community. You’ll learn practical ways to manage your emotions and lessen the pain. People who’ve attended GriefShare say that they found great comfort in being with others who understood what they were going through.
