WOMEN'S MINISTRY
Women's Ministry is working to ensure First Waco women are...
- professing faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord for self and to others. (Romans 10:4)
- biblically literate. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
- relationally connected to the church and to each other. (1 Corinthians 12:27)
- living sacrificially through generosity and service. (Luke 14:27)
- actively discipling others. (John 13:15)
Ongoing Events
New to First Methodist or a long-time member!!! Know how to knit/crochet, or always wanted to learn? Then this is the group for you!!!
In-Stitches is a friendly group to join. We knit/crochet or just talk. Talk and friendship are the things we do best, along with knitting/crocheting. We would love to have you stop by and visit, and if you would like to learn, we are more than excited to teach. We have yarn and the needles or hooks at the church, just show up. To explain what we are doing at the present time, we make prayer shawls (for nursing homes, cancer centers, and the VA), hats, scarves, and lap blankets. These items go wherever our ladies find a need. Some of our works hang on the rack near the Information Station. At present, we are making gifts for each person who receives Meals on Wheels, supplying items for Waco’s nursing homes, and a BIG project: items of all kinds to give to our Waco VA hospital patients to put in their Christmas bags (125 items). As you can see, we are very busy with just a small group. Can you imagine what we could do with your help!!! Meeting time — Thursdays at 10:00am Room 110
