Reflections Day 1

In our family of four, with two energetic boys, Genesis 1:1–6, where God brings order to creation by separating light from darkness and the waters from the sky, speaks deeply to us about the importance of structure and balance in our home. Just as God created clear boundaries in the world to make space for life to thrive, we’ve learned that our family works best when we set healthy boundaries and routines. Each of us—myself, my husband, and our two boys—has different needs, whether it’s time to play, time to relax, or time to connect as a family. Like God’s purposeful creation, we try to create space for each of us to grow and feel supported. Our boys, full of curiosity and energy, are learning how to balance personal time with family time. Genesis 1:1–6 reminds us that just as God shaped the world with care and intention, we too are called to build a home where everyone feels loved, safe, and able to grow, reflecting His goodness in the way we live together.
